I have to admit that this well known evangelist is not only good at baseball but hit some home runs with his messages at this years camp. Both Bro
Stetler and Bro Kaufman did outstanding in the pulpit. Bro.
Stetler was already one of my favorites but I now will have to add Bro. Kaufman. Three messages that really stand out is the first Sunday night of camp where Bro. Kaufman preached a message on "Forgiven and Forgotten." He talked how that when God forgives He also forgets.....we may not forget and other may not forget but God does forget. Bro
Stetler preached on Wednesday night on the spiritual warfare that
satan is waging against in in ways that we are sometimes unaware of his tactics. On Friday night Bro
Stetler preached a message with a family emphasis. That night he preached on Lot and all the mistakes that Lot made, but when we read over in the New Testament we read that Lot was a man after God's own heart. Bro
Stetler spoke to us that even godly and good people make stupid mistakes. This message was a message with warnings to all of us for if not by the grace of God there go I. I was able to get these three messages on CD. I must admit that there were other messages now that I think that truly challenged my heart like Bro
Stetler's message on Sunday morning entitled "God coming through the back door." You see God came in the back door so that no man would be left out....this was a power house message. Bro Jones on the last Sunday morning preached a message with such love and passion on challenging us to reach out to our communities....this too was a very, very good message.

But I have to say that this was the most beautiful site of all at Rock Lake Camp. This lady who did the children's ministry blessed my heart the most. I brought her home with me as a
souvenir. I now own a shirt that says "I went to Rock Lake Camp and all I got was her."

Those sound like they were excellent messages! Thanks for sharing parts of them with us!
Love your souviner!!!
And ALL you got was me?! (washing all your white shirts with a red towel now...)
My t-shirt says, "I shared a room with one of the camp workers and all I got was this lousy t-shirt!" >:)
I may have to listen to your new cd's. They sound very good.
Does anybody remember anything about an old comedy radio program about a couple called the Bickersons?
Now we know a pair of blogs that give us the same kind of humor.
Keep it up, Gene and Angie! And for the next blog, pose a picture with the t-shirts you've described.
Can't wait to meet you all; you all sound like a couple of hoots! LOL
We are arriving in Frankfort on Sept. 2nd. Come on over and help us unpack!
Can't wait!
