The Three most Powerful Words Ever Spoken

Do you know what the three most powerful words of all time would be?

Many would say "I Love You!" and how true it is that uttering the words I Love You are powerful. But they are not the most powerful. i believe that the three most powerful words that have ever been spoken was from none other than Jesus as He hung on the cross. Christ as He hung on the cross and in the midst of pain and suffering spoke these words:

IT IS FINISHED
Three small words if ever separated would loose the significance and power that was uttered that historical day. What makes these words so powerful you ask?
1) When Christ spoke it was finished he was saying that it was finished to separation. Remember that until now that the only persons that could truly enter into the presence of the holy was the priest. But now as the Great High Priest Himself hung between Heaven and earth He cried that it was finished to separation. No man, woman or child needed to be separated from His presence. You and I can boldly come into His presence at anytime we want and we need not fear the holy wrath of heaven. Whenever our hearts are heavy or whenever we need to seek the face of our loving Father we can on our own come into His presence. When He said it was finished he was saying that it was finished to separation.
2) When Christ said that it was finished He was saying that it was finished for the need of sacrifices. Again if we study our Bible we will see that until this time that the only way to atone for our sins were to bring a sacrifice to the temple. This in and of itself was cumbersome to the people of that day. What if you did not have the money to pay or heaven forbid that you died before you were able to get the sacrifice to the temple. But as Christ hung on the cross He was saying that there was now no more need for the spotless Lamb of God was the final sacrifice. His blood was not just blood of another spotless lamb but it was His blood that would wash way the sins for generation to come. There was never a sacrifice as pure nor would there be another as holy as this precious sacrifice. When he cried it is finished He was say that it was finished to sacrifices.
3) When He cried it was finished He was saying that sin was finished, Satan was defeated, and Salvation had triumphed. The keys of Hell had been snatched from the hands of Satan and his time from that point was limited. The days, the weeks, the years are still to be determined but Satan has been defeated and Christ has Triumphed. When he said that it was finished He was saying that Sin was finished and Satan was defeated.
So I ask you what do you think are the three most powerful words?

Life is Busy

Fellow Bloggers if you are anything like me you are extremely busy. You may be so busy that you even feel a little guilty for taking the time to sit down and read a few blogs. Perhaps you feel a little weary from all the hurry of life....well I found a prayer for you (and me).

"Often I become weary with reading and hearing many things. You are all that I want and desire. Let all teachers be mute and all creation keep silent before You. Speak to me, You and You alone."
Thomas A. Kempis
